| 09:30– 11:00 | Keynote: Data Access Smackdown
Wasn't the original ADO that shipped ten years ago suppose to be the "last data access methodology" from Microsoft? Well, it is now more confusing than ever and Goksin and Stephen sort it all out for you. They discuss the release of .NET 3.5 SP1 with its new (and confusing) data access methodologies: ADO.NET Data Services and the Entity Framework. In addition, Microsoft offers Linq to SQL, Linq to Entities, Enterprise Library 4.0 & Data Access Application Block, and Plain Old ADO.NET. Watch as Stephen demonstrates each of these technologies on the same set of data and argues with the audience as to what is good, bad and ugly. |
